....for sale an absolutely huge and phenomenal piece of Futuristic-Space-age glass in the form of a superlative free-form F. Zemek "Rhapsody" bowl circa 1960 in wonderful condition with it's memorizing subtle pools of primary colour - just a very rare piece indeed!

...Zemek was the master of combining these "blocks" of colour and manipulating them in dense glass forms...

..this is a form I have always adored for it's stunning bio-morphic and colouristic attributes, this Space-age beauty could literally be off the set of the 60's cartoon "The Jetsons" - just a wonderful form!

.. spanning 33cm's long, 19cm's wide, and weighing in close to 2kg's and from a relatively small footprint, the form has an incredibly crisp crystal shell of clear......this fans upwards through a lucid watery irregular boat-like body with corners of cool citric colour completing the "futuristic-boat" analogy and turns this minimalist form into something special...

....this intense marriage of citric colour combined with the unique form amplifies these hues and creates the most amazing deep seeded reflections trapped within the dense glass a pure delight!

...an absolutely stunning and rare "Rhapsody" forms by one of the real masters of mid-century Modernist glass - a Bio-morphic delight and a Space-age form that would make George Jetson himself green with envy!

.in lovely condition with only some age-related scratches, and slither chips to the green bead but at the at the very base or foot of the piece so nothing hugely obvious - displays like a dream!
