Cut crystal or glass scent bottle or inkwell with broken silver lid. I have seen similar bottles on antiques websites that have either been described as a scent bottle or an inkwell, so I can't be sure what its original function was. The lid has broken off at the hinge. The silver is stamped with the Birmingham mark and I think the maker is Henry Matthews. I'm not sure if this could be fixed (I don't have the top part that's broken off) . I've always used it as an ornament or vase. It stands just over 9 cm high.
There is a tiny chip (see photo), not really visible.

Happy to post but buyer can pick up from Whitby.
