Exquisite, rare, desirable – Hammersley Demi-Tasse Set of Six Cups and Saucers, plus milk jug

We offer today a very rare set of superb cups and saucers, made many moons ago by Hammersley & Co, Longton, in England, in the heartland of top English china manufacture in the good old days. Now these beauties are ready here for your collection, display or indeed use at a very special occasion, or why not as a valuable gift for someone very special… or as an investment.

Stunning bone china quality, sprig floral pattern, intricate golden accents, hand-painted… This is indeed a stunning set featuring various lavish floral motifs, with cups and saucers being framed by a superb broad border of gilded floral patterns. Even the cups have different motifs inside. Just superb.

What else to say, other than that we offer this set which was possibly made in the 30’s in a very good used vintage condition and that this set can be yours soon…. It must be noted that one cup has a faint brown ‘shade’, possibly a manufacturing fault, not really distracting and hardly visible in the photos. Still, we have reduced the reserve accordingly.

PS The cups and saucers are marked clearly with the old red Hammersley crown stamp and the number 12673 and the artists initials. The cups stand 6 cm tall, the saucer measure 11 cm across.
