Sandland Ware features scenes from Charles Dickens' The Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit with a scene featuring the memorable character Sairey Gamp Lancaster & Sandland Ltd of Hanley, England produced sets of tableware based on many of Charles Dickens' tales, and this set depicts a larger-than-life character named Sairey Gamp as she entertains her friend and ally, Betsy Prig at the Bull Tavern.
