Antique meat dish (ashette) earthenware (stoneware?) dates from mid to late 1800s (believed to be around 1858) Back stamp “Pountney Edwards & Co Bristol The Seasons” ; plus imprest stamp “Stone China”; plus a second imprest mark that looks like 63 or 29 or perhaps something else! Transfer printed – a greyish blue colour. Various rural scenes with a floral border. Glaze is crazed, plus various wear marks and surface cracks – as you would expect with dishes this age. Size 54 x 43 cm.
