A small, diameter 13cm, depth 2.5cm, dish in the Royal Doulton Coaching Days series. The scene on the dish is " Coach going up hill, attendants walking".
The dish, which is in good used condition with no chips or cracks, is earthenware, I believe, and was produced between 1905 & 1932.
The RD Coaching Days series was designed by Victor Venner and was produced from 1905 until 1955. It is one of Doulton's most collectable series. The scenes titles are those given by Louise Irvine on page 52 of Vol. 2 of Royal Doulton Series Ware.
