The character depicted is "BACCHUS" D6521.
The jug was designed by Max Henk. It was in production from 1960 to 1991.

This is one of a number of Royal Doulton character jugs (that is, face only jugs, as opposed to full figure, or "toby", jugs) which I am offering for sale on Trade Me at present. It is 6cms (2.5") high and in as new condition. There are of course no chips, cracks or repairs/restorations.
The cost of shipping is $7.95.
