This is a plate from Wedgewood's Children's Plate series which were produced during the 1970s. They manufactured one each year.

This is year 1978 and is "The Frog Prince" by the Brothers Grimm.

The plate is 15.5cm id diameter and is inexcellent condition having spent its entire life behind glass in a cabinet. Comes with original box and paperwork

Written on the back is the following: THE FROG PRINCE" by the Brothers Grimm Eighth in a series for young collectors. 1978 Edition. "In return for recovering her golden ball from the bottom of a deep spring, The Princess allowed the frog to eat and sleep in the palace. On the third morning she woke to find the frog had turned into a handsome Prince who, enchanted by a wicked fairy whose cruel spell now broken, could marry the Princess".

It has the wedgewood mark.
