Thanks John. I'm not aggrieved as you both did a lot of good work. Forgot to mention the laundry bench which was also a good installation. Thanks for the offer to re-do the spouting - I'm home now and will decide on what to do with that. Regards

hired John for big job as part of renovations to house. John&worker did good work on small repair jobs inside/outside of house. did a great job installing kitchen and bathroom benches. Installation of section of guttering turned out higglty piggelty which was disappointing. asked john to stop painting windows when I found out he wasn't preparing the surface before paint. texts, phone calls and emails often unanswered. He was paid very well. Advice: always work on quotes, don't pay hourly.

John Langford: Thank-you for that,Tex. Regarding the spouting, I would be happy to re-do this at no cost. My assistant did the job and it was too late when I noticed it. Re windows, I think your informant was confused as I was replacing the putty around the windows and needed to prime them before applying the putty otherwise the putty would fall out in time. I was also priming new timber where I had replaced rot. Sorry you felt aggrieved. Things were not always as you perceived them from Australia.
