The Heylo bags is like a 10 minute slow cooker. You cook your casserole in the normal way in your own stove top pot. You then transfer the pot , with the lid on to maintain the steam, in it to the Heylo bag. Secure the pot in the bag with the Velcro tabs. Use the drawstring to close the top. Allow to stand for 2-3 hours to allow the retained heat to continue the cooking process. This is an old way of cooking also known as Haybox coking or heat retention cooking . It saves on power bills on time and is a nutritious way of cooking as all the nutrients are maintained by the slow cooking process.It is also a safe way to cook as food cannot burn in a Heylo bag. No steam or cooking odors . Perfect for yachties, campers, hikers and motorhome users as well as busy home cooks.
This size should fit most household pots up to 2.5 litres (2.6 US quarts).
