Phoebus Model 725 made in Austria.

I purchased this little cooker in the early 1960s to accompany me on my travels around New Zealand on my motorcycle.

The container is 130mm square. It fitted snugly into my motorcycle pannier bags.

With kerosene in the tank it needed a few drops of methylated spirits into the little bowl on top of the tank. When the meths is lit it builds up pressure in the tank. Turn the handle on and the burning meths ignites the kerosene. I always used kerosene in it but it can be used with petrol.

The original instructions are included with a small tin of valves/jets. A fine pin is occasionally required to clean the jet.
