Microchip your kontiki* with our bulletfishing® Wireless Electronic Identification Readable Device (W.E.I.R.D)

There are no wires to connect and no batteries to go flat.

If its lost or stolen chances are the serial number and your name will be scraped off it and there is no other way of identifying it, that is until now. If your kontiki is fitted with one of our wireless electronic identification readable devices inside the hull, your details will be available electronically and can be scanned with your Android phone** proving ownership.

The W.E.I.R.D decal is very discreet and measures only about 25mm diameter and is no thicker than a bumper sticker, it has an adhesive backing and is waterproof.

Installation:

Find a suitable location inside the hull, we recommend holding it inside the hull with your hand and scanning it from the outside with your phone to determine a suitable location, wipe clean the area with Methylated spirits and remove the backing off your W.E.I.R.D decal to expose the adhesive and apply the decal in position. That's it, your ready to go.

To identify your Kontiki, open your phone home screen and move the phone over the position that the W.E.I.R.D is located, the phone screen will then display “New Tag Detected” click on that and your security details will appear on the screen.

We can customise the details on the W.E.I.R.D for you but we recommend at least the following:

Phone Number:

Serial Number:

Once we have entered your details onto your tag we will password protect it so the details cannot be re-written or erased.

*non metal hull.

** The Android phone used to scan ID tag must have NFC capabilities, most late model common brand phones purchased new within the last 18 months have this capability built in. To check, go to your phones “Settings” then scroll down until you find “NFC”, open, and make sure NFC is turned on.
