Bruce McLaren's sports cars would so dominate the rich Canadian American races in 1967,68,69 that the series became known as "The Bruce & Denny Show" which it would remain until 1971.

Bruce McLaren created his own sports car called the Jolly Green Giant, though officially it was a a Cooper-Oldsmobile. The car won at Mosport Canada in June 1964 while the first genuine McLaren car was nearing completion - the M1A pictured being driven by Bruce.
