Besides night and day, the tides are our most graphic reminder of the daily life cycle of our planet. Get the kids or students to design their own Tide Clock Face that best interprets and represents their understanding of the tide.

Ordinary clocks have two hands and 12 x 1 hour positions. Tide Clocks have only ONE hand and complete one rotation in approximately 12 hrs 25 minutes to correspond with the tide.

This Do it Yourself Tide clock kit contains one Quartz tide clock movement and attachments to enable mounting behind your choice of face detail. You design your own clock face out of shells, plants, beach flotsam and jetsam, etc. Glue these materials to any stiff circular cardboard (not supplied) "clock face" and attach the Tide Clock through the centre, from the back.

It is an educational toy intended to demonstrate tidal flow and is NOT intended for navigational, boating, sailing and/or planning any such event. Think safe - always consult local authorities and Official Tide Charts before going anywhere near the water.
