Prices:
-First lesson free as a no obligations trial lesson to get acquainted.
-Individual Lessons: $45 for half an hour or $90 for an hour. (Prices are GST inclusive)
-Arranged group lessons (2-4 students): $26.50 per student per half hour class.
Hi my name is Chenny and I provide friendly/patient guitar tuition to suit all ages and levels. Online options available via Zoom.
Lessons are tailor made to ensure enjoyment and to suit each individual's level, aspirations and musical preferences.
Guitar grade exams can be an option for students who are interested. This is through Rockschool.

My son was on a waiting list for Chenny’s teaching for quite a few months as he was a popular guitar teacher for everyone. I instantly fell in love from his first lesson I attended as a parents and continued grateful for his experienced teaching skills and let the students get inspired by his great performance during lessons.
Every family and kids have different needs at times but Chenny has the great mind set and heart to understand and approch students appropriately. Thank you Chenny.

Chenny has been teaching my autistic son and I for a year now. We both love our lessons and my son wants to do more. He can play so many songs and it really is tapping into his ASD gifts. Chenny is kind, patient with an ASD pre-teen, lets my son choose songs, the pace of learning is manageable, and challenging. It has just been one of the best decisions I have made for my boy and myself.

Chenny has been teaching my son how to guitar for more than a year now. He is an amazing teacher and has always been patient and makes the learning fun. My son enjoys his guitar lessons. We feel really lucky to have found Chenny and would recommend him to anyone keen to learn guitar.
My son has been learning the guitar from Chenny for about 9 months now and enjoys it very much. Chenny is experienced and is a very patient teacher. He respects what the student wants to achieve, what types of music s/he likes to listen to and provides a good selection of tunes to learn with. Chenny is very organised and communicates well with parents too.
Chenny has been teaching my 2 children for several years
He has taught them to love guitar and to express themselves through music.
He is encouraging without being pushy, teaches the love of the instrument with optional exams opportunities and is creative with his approach to suit different ages and characters

Both my son and I have had lessons over a number of years with Chenny, Chenny is a knowledgeable, insightful and patient teacher and we enjoyed every minute of every lesson we had. We both made good progress and left each lesson excited about what we were learning. Highly recommend Chenny for any one at any stage of their guitar playing journey.
Chenny has been an inspiration to our son, as he has a wealth of experience in a band himself and plays songs that our son enjoys. He is incredibly patient, caring and concerned that his students are enjoying their lesson's, hence our son is still keen after 3 years learning with Chenny.
We could not recommend Chenny enough.

Chenny is Awesome! My son is excited for his guitar lesson every week and has progressed considerably in his time with Chenny. We find Chenny to be a relaxed and patient teacher who really connects with our son and nurtures his musical taste. I have recommended Chenny to several people already and would have no hesitation in doing so to others. My sons band came 3rd in the National Intermediate Bandquest in 2020 and Chenny undoubtedly helped perfect his playing for that competition.
Chenny has the biggest smile I've seen on a teacher. He is welcoming, an attentive listener, responsive to needs and desires (eg. the type of music I wanted to learn), and encouraging. Although a complete beginner, Chenny made me feel successful right away. One of the best teachers I've encountered - and with a mother and sister as teacher, and children at school, I've experienced many!
Chenny is a fantastic teacher. My son loves lessons with him and has improved greatly, particularly with individual tutoring over the summer holidays. I found Chenny to be punctual and welcoming, and quick to respond to my messages & questions. My son says, "Chenny is kind and patient and took things slowly if I was struggling. He has a really good sense of humour and is an awesome guitar player! He acknowledges my improvements and that makes me feel like I'm getting somewhere".
Very patient and awesome tutor. You can feel he really ensures you to learn but at the same time enjoy music without pressure! You can see his spirit in guitar in the lesson which makes you like guitar even more! I can say that he is the best guitar tutor in NZ! I am so lucky to have Chenny to be my guitar mentor in my life and you will definitely grow and learn a lot with him! I am just very sad that I have to leave NZ otherwise I will continue to be his student indefinitely.
