About

Emoto Limited is an authorised Dealer for Aprilia, Cagiva, Hyosung, Moto Guzzi and MV Agusta Motorcycles. Our Service Department specialises in these, Ducati and other European bikes.

Emoto Limited commenced business in 2003. Initially we sold bikes. In 2008 we acquired a number of new bike franchises and respected clothing and accessory brands. This necessitated the opening of a Brick and Mortar store, however we remain 100% committed to on-line sales. In fact Emoto Limited is unique in that we STARTED as an on-line store; in fact for the first 5 years the only way to purchase from Emoto Limited was on-line!

We know that to buy on-line, you want certainty, choice, convenience, comfort, and you want a fair price. OK, you want it for nothing! We promise to do our best on the price front, but to be here in another 10 years; we do expect you to pay, sorry.

As far as removing risk goes, with new items like helmets and clothing that’s not too hard. With brand new motorcycles it is easy too. For used bikes that can be harder but we are very experienced in the online sales of used motorcycles. We pioneered the concept of a “Virtual Test Ride” for buyers that can't inspect a bike prior to purchase. We give 48 hours from the time a bike is delivered to you. Ride the bike on your favourite road in your own time. Should a mechanical fault be observed in that period, we will happily repair that defect at our cost. Naturally all efforts are made to deliver a bike free from problems.

In 2009 Emoto Limited became a “Trademe Store”. This is after many millions of dollars of sales and very positive Trademe feedback. Be assured, when you purchase from us we want positive feedback from you too, and we will do everything reasonable to make that happen.
Policies
Your Purchase
Buyers receive an automated Trade Me Payment Instruction email following each auction. This will include everything you need to know to complete your purchase smoothly and without delay. All prices are GST Inclusive. A GST Invoice is produced for each sale and will be included with your purchase on request; we can also email one to you. Our GST Number is: 86-099-098

Payment for Bikes
We require a deposit of $1,000 within 2 working days to confirm the purchase. We are happy for you to see the bike before you pay the balance, or if you are getting it shipped, send a 3rd party to check it out before it is sent to you.

Payment for everything else
Payment must be received within 5 working days. Payment options are available on each listing. To pay by credit card, please use the secure 'Pay Now' option on Trade Me. The item will be sent as soon as we receive payment.

Finance and Insurance for Bikes
We offer insurance and provide finance at competitive rates.

Shipping
Delivery options are available on each product listing. Our aim is to ship everything within 24 hrs of payment being received by us. We use a number of courier companies and we request overnight delivery. With bikes, we used specialized bike transporters. We book the bike with them as soon as we have been paid in full. At that time we will advise which company we are using for your bike, and you will be free to liaise with them directly for specific drop off timing etc. In the unlikely event that goods are damaged or lost in Transit please contact the carrier directly in the first instance. Please endorse the carrier's delivery docket should any packaging or item damage be visible at time of delivery.

Pickups
You can collect your purchase directly from our shop at 352 St Asaph Street, CBD Christchurch. Please quote your auction number. Our shop is open 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Exchanges due to size
Unless it specifically states there are no other sizes available in the auction, we will exchange goods providing they are in original, as new condition with manufacturers labels etc intact. If other sizes are not available, we will provide a credit to the value of the item against any other item(s) we are able to offer. Any difference in price will be charged accordingly. We require you to pay shipping for the item to be returned to us; however we will not charge for the return freight of the replacement item. We fully accept that nobody intentionally chooses an item in the wrong size!

Guarantee
We will stand behind new products we sell if there is a fault or if it has been damaged in transit. Manufacturers Warranty and NZ Statutory protection such as the Consumer Guarantee Act apply.

Beyond that, Warranty periods are product/manufacturer specific, most new bikes are two years but something like a new Race Bike may be only 3-Months. The warranty period will be stated on the listing.

Items such as exhaust systems are covered by a 12-month manufacturers warranty for defective parts and/or workmanship. We will replace or repair any item proven to be defective within the stated warranty period.

Used items are guaranteed to be “as described” or we will put it right.

Emoto Limited is a Registered Motor Vehicle Trader (M100464) under the New Zealand Motor Vehicle Sales Act 2003. Emoto Limited shall in no event be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damage arising from the purchase and use of their products.
