About the Store
For over 60 years, Jacks have been supplying quality machinery to NZ’s woodworking trades, earning the trust of timber processors, joiners, cabinetmakers and builders, large and small, right down to home shops. We also supply equipment for aluminium and plastics fabrication. We always have a wide range of secondhand machines available too.
Smaller businesses and home workshops get professional results with machines from our Robland, Holytek, Janssen, Casadei Industria, Scheppach, Virutek, Tormek and SMI ranges, all supplied at attractive ‘direct import’ prices.
Medium or large companies making kitchens, furniture or commercial fit-outs can rely on machines from Germany’s Homag Group, world leaders in panel processing technology. Homag’s range includes the acclaimed Brandt edgebanders, Holzma beamsaws, Weeke CNC centres, Bütfering sanders, Friz laminating machines, Torwegge tenoners, and Ligmatech materials handling equipment.
Jacks have been supplying Weinig timber processing equipment since 1972. In addition to its famous Weinig moulders, the world’s No 1 supplier produces Waco high speed planers and band resaws, Dimter optimising crosscut saws, GreCon finger jointers, Raimann ripsaws, Luxscan scanners, window production systems and edge lamination plants.
Jacks also supplies Weinmann machinery for frames, trusses and prefabricated buildings, and Elumatic equipment for the fabrication of aluminium and plastics.
Finally, a word about after sales service. We invest heavily in factory training for our technicians. The Jacks Service team is NZ’s largest and most experienced. We service everything we sell, and carry a huge stock of parts.
Whatever you make, we have the equipment to help you do it better and faster.
We organise quick, cost-effective delivery anywhere in New Zealand or the Pacific Islands.
Payment in full is required before any order is shipped. Payment options available include:
Jacks are GST registered. All pricing is GST inclusive.
You are welcome to arrange to collect your purchase, but please contact us immediately after the auction closes to arrange this.
If we freight your purchase to you, we will do so as soon after the auction as we can. Freight is calculated on an individual auction basis. Freight costs will be added to the cost of your purchase. We will provide you with all the information regarding your order as soon as we place the order for shipping.
Once the appropriate freight company has picked up an order, a consignment number is issued, and will be given to you so you can track your shipment if necessary. The freight companies we use are very reputable and all care is taken in getting your order to you promptly.
Freight companies require a contact phone number to verify that someone is there to accept the order. It is your responsibility to make arrangements for delivery, and to have adequate manpower to offload your purchase.
Rarely, there may be certain circumstances beyond the control of Jacks (mechanical failure, holidays, etc.) which disrupt us getting your purchase to you as swiftly as we would like. We will always endeavour to keep you informed of any delays or problems that occur during shipment.
Acceptance of Delivery
Please hand write clearly on the consignment docket you receive from the freight company if an item arrives damaged. You must check your purchase thoroughly before signing the docket. If you do not, we have no way of claiming for any damage.
Return, Repair or Refund Policy
In most cases, the equipment we sell has a useful life measured in decades, not just years. Jacks have been in business for more than 60 years, so the majority of our customers have dealt with us before, often many times. They come back because they receive good service and fair treatment. The best guarantee that Jacks will treat you fairly is our interest in your next machine, and the next.
Unless otherwise agreed with you in writing, the Jacks warranty covers any new goods we supply for at least 12 months of normal operation from date of dispatch to you. We promise that the goods will comply with the manufacturer's specifications as at the date of manufacture, and will be free of defective materials or workmanship.
If, for whatever reason, we have not kept this promise, we will at our option, repair, modify or replace the goods or exchange them for a full refund. The Jacks warranty is not limited to the replacement of parts: we will also pay for the cost of materials, labour and freight.
To be protected by this warranty:
We provide a 30-day warranty that your purchase is reliable and free from known defects, unless explicitly stated in the auction listing. In the unlikely event that your purchase is faulty you must let us know immediately and we will either repair, replace or refund it. If your item is unable to be replaced we will offer you a full refund. We will do our best to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.
We will not refund if you simply 'change your mind’ or the item was not what you imagined it to be. Because Jacks cannot be aware of the precise purposes every individual customer may intend for the goods, it is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that their functionality will be suitable for your particular purpose. Please ask all questions before bidding.
We are confident you will be completely satisfied with any purchase you make from Jacks. We welcome any feedback you may have and will use this to ensure we maintain our status as NZ’s most trusted supplier of machinery and service.
