| Survivor Series is the 2nd longest running PPV Event for the WWE, behind WrestleMania. The original concept for Survivor Series was to have an annual PPV event that focused on tag team wrestling. It was also conceived to capitalize on the long time feud between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, who faced each other at WrestleMania III, leading up to the first Survivor Series. It was orginally created to be a "Thanksgiving tradition" as the first 4 events took place on Thanksgiving Day in November. This DVD set covers the first 5 Survivor Series, which featured superstars including Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, The MegaPowers, Koko B Ware, The Rockers, The Ultimate Warriors, The Legion of Doom and more. |
