The cult classic from 1984, Repo Man is a dark, post-apocalyptic comedy thriller centred on two car repossession men making fast bucks in the seamy, seedy LA underworld. Otto (Emilio Estevez) is an alienated punk wandering the LA streets before a coke-sniffing Bud (Harry Dean Stanton), an aging repossession man, offers him money to drive a car out of a bad neighbourhood. Soon enough, Otto is earning big money under Buds tutelage but their latest repo job lands them in hot water when a nuclear physicist leaves something toxic - a nuclear device, an alien - in the trunk of a 1964 Chevy. As the acerbic Bud advises his apprentice: A repo mans life is always intense.

Well remembered for its bizarre, eccentric characters and dystopic vision of America, director Alex Coxs fresh and darkly humorous urban fable is rounded out by a classic theme song from Iggy Pop.
