1980. Peru. Wayne Montgomery is a young, naive, Californian surfer teaching English; life is good; until one day, he is arrested and thrown into Limas infamous El Sexto prison. Corrupt police officials charge him with drug trafficking in the hope of extorting a ransom from his family. But Wayne refuses to co-operate and is beaten, starved and left to rot in a living hell.
