Magnum Imports NZ Limited is owned and operated by Wayne and Ainsley. It began in 1997, centered around Wayne’s interest in firearms, shooting and hunting, and a wider interest in the outdoors.   In April 2014 Wayne and Ainsley purchased the Upper Hutt Gunshop, and consolidated the Magnum Imports business into it, changing the name to simply The Gunshop.   Although specialising in a wide range of shooting products and services, catering for hunters, pistol and rifle target shooters and collectors, with a special focus on Black Powder, we have gradually extended the product range to include other "outdoors" products (fishing, tramping, camping, archery and even sporting dog gear) and are always looking to extend it further.   Feel free to drop us a line with your thoughts, encouragement, and most especially if you're not happy about any part of our service, let us know and give us a chance to fix it!

The world's biggest gun shop has given birth to a little brother in Auckland. Gun City of Christchurch has opened a new retail store at 706 Great South Road, Penrose.  We have over 5000 guns in stock in Christchurch and we've moved a selection of all the "hotties" to Great South Road just for you. If you buy something from the Christchurch shop which is not currently in stock here it can be collected here to save you the hassle of a police order form as we will be able to sight your licence on pick up. In most cases if you are happy to wait 7-10 days, delivery will be free. For overnight or 2-3 day service the postage will be the same as having it delivered it to your home. This price is usually advertised on each item on the website. We are open for collection Monday - Friday 8am -6pm. Weekends and public holidays are very busy so please call us first to ensure pick up will be OK.
