The property is 2km east of Carterton with sweeping views. Very central to supply Wairarapa and Wellington. The house is a modern, well-appointed 4-bed 2-bath home on 3.59ha with a 162m2 4-bay workshop. The paddocks are well fenced with stock yards, woolshed. The business is run from a 6500sqm yard including 500sqm of concrete slab and sheds.
The firewood processor is the best there is, a Posch SpaltFix 650. It is very cheap, easy and safe to produce a lot of quality firewood. We don’t touch the firewood by hand. It is all controlled by one operator with a joystick. The process:
• The log deck on the processor can take 72ton or two logging truck and trailer loads of logs.
• The logs are moved and cut into rings that roll into the automatic wood splitter.
• Split wood then travels by conveyor to the cleaner.
• Another conveyor with hydraulic wheels and height adjustment makes it easy to direct where the wood is going. Onto the truck or into various species stacks. With appropriate logs we average 30m3 per hour from logs to split wood with one person.

The firewood processor is easily transportable anywhere in the country if you want to locate it somewhere else. There is also sawmilling equipment available; a sawmill, band resaw and 4 sider planner moulder.
