We are an importer and distributor of building supplies based in Silverdale, Hibiscus Coast, Auckland. Due to one of our products rapidly expanding, we are looking to spin off one of our categories to allow us to focus 100% on our core business.
Sales of the category have exceeded millions of dollars in past years, however it has declined recently due to lack of focus and it needs someone to rebuild it. As all customers pre-pay, it requires very little capital to run.
The category is high performance window and door joinery, sourcing products from Europe. We are not looking to sell our business, but to sell the showroom fitout (worth in excess of $200K), sign the dual showroom/warehouse lease over, and hand over supplier agencies. The lease is very affordable at only $3K per month including all outgoings. Due to supplier donated product and depreciation, the current book value of the showroom is very low, and we are just looking to recover what it owes us.
The lease expires August 2026, with a further 2 year extension, which could be easily extended further.
The opportunity would suit someone with technical building knowledge and is wiling to work hands-on in the business. It would also come with a pipeline of future work due to outstanding quotes that will still be accepted. As customers have designed these products into their homes, and may even have building consents, we do not wish to let the customers down by losing access to the product.
Ideally we envisage that it could be added to an existing building services business, or import business looking to expand their offering in order to have shared overheads.
Pricing is $50,000 plus GST.
