The Vendor of this business has taken over the lease of this operation and site. The Facilities have undergone extensive improvements and the operation put back into full production. This has involved replacing equipment along with replenishing of 6,750 laying hens.

The vendor has considerable experience in this industry and currently owns another similar operation. Therefore, as this is new operation the financial returns are the forecast earnings going forward.

The budgeted forecast costs include;

• Lease costs
• Feed costs
• Outgoings
• Repairs and Maintenance
• Replacement hens

As the hens have an egg laying life we have also budgeted an amount for replacements over time.

In terms of income two options are available:

1-The vendor is prepared to purchase all the eggs from the new owner on a weekly basis along with weekly payment terms.
2 - Sell direct to retailers with current customer base supplied by Vendor. The published profitability is based on this option being taken up.

The site is approved by the Ministry of Primary industries and the vendor will support you, as you organise your own Risk Management Plan.

In terms of the lease this operation has until 2044 with renewals within this period. The lease includes a farm style house in average condition on site, along with all the assets associated with the egg operation.

A bonus for the new owner is the ability to run a few sheep and cattle on the site. It also has several fruit trees that will be able to be brought into production by a knowledgeable person.
