Cowshed Automation Business

We have put up our cowshed automation business for sale after many years in the industry, the owner operator has been in the automation industry since 2009 and the current business operating as it does today since 2016.
The current owner is wanting to follow other business opportunities but needs to find a suitable person/company to take over the business and carry on offering great support to our existing clients and picking up new clients as the business grows.

This could be run with an owner/operator as it does now or could be added to an existing business within the Dairy industry.
We have clients from as up as Northland and down to the bottom of Southland, we have remote access to most farms for support but also travel the country as necessary.
If you don’t want to leave home to work this is not a job/business for you, we are based in Timaru and currently we would spend 6-8 weeks in the North Island per year, but most of the farms are in the South Island so a base anywhere from Oamaru to Christchurch would be ideal.
The current owner is an ex dairy farmer, this position suits someone with an understanding of cows and cowsheds, a bit of engineering knowledge, minor electrical skill (using a multi meter etc) some simple computer skills. All of this could be taught, but previous cow and cowshed experience is hard to teach so preference would be to people with these skills already.
Training will be given to a successful person which will involve several months of help as needed.

This business has been turning over 400k plus in previous years, its a great owner operator style of business with low overheads and consistent profit lines.

We can offer different levels of the business and more than willing to help out someone good by leaving some money in the deal.
