The shop is in a premium position with high visibility and traffic

The person I am looking for may not have the capital to buy a tyre shop business, but I would like to give an ambitious person the opportunity to earn the shop overtime.

I am embarking on a programme to upgrade the shop’s equipment, presentation and service to impress and attract customers.

I am looking for a joint venture partner who can drive that goal.

The prospective JV partner will most importantly work in the business with a salary.

The purchase of the business for an agreed amount will require just $15,000 from the partner. With the growth of the business the rest of the purchase price will be paid from the net profits of the business. This will be in two steps.

Step one: I give the JV partner a 40% beneficial interest in the business. The partner receives a quarterly distribution of profit, a dividend. 80% of the dividend goes to paying for the business, 20% to the partner. The $15,000 goes towards the purchase. The share will be recognised progressively, and registered once the 40% is paid. The partner will then be appointed a director.

Step two: With everything going to plan, once the partner achieves 40% ownership, I will increase the partner’s beneficial interest to 100%. Again, quarterly dividends will be split, 80% of the dividend goes to paying for the business, 20% to the partner. Once the business is wholly owned by the partner, I will hand over completely and step out and resign my directorship.

You can exercise your right to buy the shop at any time.

If the partner leaves, they keep all the money they received and are refunded the deposit and most of the dividends that paid for the shares in the business.
