Event hire business based in the Waitomo district.

We started Waitomo Marquee Hire 6 years ago as a side hustle alongside other employment and raising a young family.
Now built into a successful, award-winning business.
Installing events of all types, most being weddings.

The majority of our work comes from rural and isolated areas between October-April.
Flexibility to work in with other commitments.
Relatively low competition locally with a near 2-hour drive to main centres.
Work also takes us around Waikato, Taranaki, Ruapehu regions.


Established networks and business relationships formed to collaborate within industry.
Minimal online presence and advertising, Facebook and word of mouth are all we rely on to gain cliental. Plenty of scope here.
We don't promote pick-ups due to our location, would add to sales with closer proximity to town.
Equipment is in very good order with a great track record coming off hires and attracting a respectful standard of clientele. Benefits of equipment condition largely due to cleaning and handling/ transport done by ourselves on every hire.

Low overhead model makes this a high cashflow business.
Has been excellent supplementary income to help us onto the property ladder.
Opportunity exists to grow it further.
