Iconic Christchurch pedal boat hire business

This iconic Christchurch boat hire business is for sale for the second time in its 59 years of existence. We hire out pedal boats, aqua trikes and canoes. Now for the first time in 59 years it has a lease to operate for five years with a five year right of renewal. We also now have permission to sell ice creams and coffee and other items. This has huge potential and growth.

I am not selling because it is quiet or not making money, it is quite the opposite. I am selling because it has got too busy for these old bones and it needs new young blood to take it into the future for the next 50 odd years. I have got it primed and ready to go with the lease in place to operate.

There is plenty of growth in the boat hire including raising the price slightly as the price has been the same for 15 years, setting up and running the shop and also expanding into midweek work. We already do midweek and evening work but this could be developed further.

The price for boat hire includes everything that makes the boat hire run; pedal boats, aqua trikes, canoes, life jackets, a comprehensive health and safety policy, sign written car, website, Facebook, advertising trailer, advertising signs, flags, banners, flyers and 59 years of good will.

As I mentioned there is permission for a small shop which I have not yet done anything about as I thought I would advertise the business first so that the new owner could capitalise on this. If it doesn't sell, then I will be following through with this which would then make the price of the business increase.

I have always thought it would suit someone with an already existing mobile food trailer looking to expand.
