Tuppence Cafe

This is a great opportunity for someone to take over this cafe which is is the heart of the suburb and has a big community feel to it. It is positioned in part of the business hub, close to schools and kindergartens with a wide ranging demographic of locals. It is also a destination cafe for some, has great parking, and is still the only cafe in Waverley.

As owner/operators we have loved being a part of the Waverley community, getting to know our regulars well, supporting the local kindergartens and school when possible as they provide a great community support in return. It wasn’t an easy decision to sell as it has been a huge part of our lives and we have loved it, however priorities after nine years have changed. We would love to see someone come in and put their own stamp on it and continue to grow it as there is still so much potential to be had.

Since it’s inception in 2015, with the conversion of and old pharmacy into a functional cafe, it has been extended in 2017 into the neighbouring shop to gain more space. Over the years it has adapted and changed and in the last year has had a new counter area created providing more space for FOH. There is still a lot more that can be done with the extended area and owner is happy to convey all ideas had for it. (Potential hasn’t been maxed out).

Cafe currently operates just 5 days a week. It has operated 7 days a week (for the first 5 years) as well as night functions with special licences and catering both big and small events.

Rent is reasonable as we converted it into what it is now.
