Delivery
At Ecrotek we endeavour to deliver orders as quickly as possible.
Occasionally, during our peak times there can be some delays with dispatch and shipping.
The Beekeeping industry is particularly busy during the summer months, and as a result of this we often experience an influx of orders. This can cause some delays with dispatch and delivery so please be aware of this.
Please also expect some delays over public holidays, as our premises shut during this time.
We appreciate your patience during these busy times, we will endeavour to dispatch as quickly as possible! Once payment has cleared, orders are dispatched.
New to Beekeeping
Welcome to the wonderful world of Beekeeping! Prepare to get hooked on the buzz!
Some essentials for new Beekeepers include –

A beehive, we offer Ready to Go Hives perfect for those starting out in the Beekeeping industry. However, if you would like to establish your hive from scratch you will require a base, at least one brood box with frames on which the bees will build their comb, a hive mat, sometimes called an inner cover or a crown board, and a lid or roof. As your hive expands, you will need to add a second storey with frames so the hive can expand and begin producing honey.

Tools to work the hive, such as smokers which are used to calm the bees during inspection and a hive tool, used to break the propolis and inspect the hives.

Protective clothing, such as a full Bee-Suit or Jacket which ever you prefer. A hood/veil, gloves and boots/gum boots.

And of course, BEES!
