Is it really free shipping NZ wide including Rural?
Yes that’s correct we ship for free NZ wide including rural and Waiheke. If you are on Great Barrier, Stewart Island etc then we usually need to send to your shipping agent who takes freight to your island, please check beforehand
How long does it take?
Typically items are delivered the next business day in the North Island and around two business days in the South Island. Rural deliveries can take an extra few days. Please take into account what day of the week the parts are dispatched as couriers work Monday to Friday. If Saturday delivery is required please call us directly.
Can You ship Overseas?
Yes we can ship worldwide, we will need to quote you on freight first please ask us
Do you carry items in stock- Yes it most cases we have the stock in store or available quickly offhand- in some cases we might sell out and do not have a chance to withdraw the auction or we may need to get it in from our suppliers local and overseas. We will work with you to fulfil the order in the shortest timeframe possible. We do represent some overseas brands so in some cases these are shipped from their warehouses, if in doubt please ask.
Is the auction for a pair of rotors / set of Pads?
We typically sell Rotors in pairs and Pads in a set of 4. A Pair of Rotors is enough to do the front or rear of the vehicle, a set of pad is enough to do the front or rear of a vehicle.
Are all your products new?
Yes all our products are new unless otherwise stated
Do you fit the parts?
We’d love to but we just don’t have the time to fit our parts but we can recommend workshops that can fit the parts locally.
Do I need to have a mechanic fit the parts or can I fit them myself?
Ideally any repairs should be undertaken by a professional but depending on your budget this might not be possible. If you are attempting to fit your parts, especially braking components you will need a good understanding about the application and how to carry the job out correctly. Some manufacturer warranties require professional fitting, please bare this in mind.
Do your parts have warranties?
Yes all our parts have warranties, some vary but most of them have a 12month warranty. Please be assured we only sell quality parts we fit these to our cars. Please see warranty and Returns section for more information.
I’ve seen it cheaper overseas!
Be Careful! We find overseas sellers offering products at really attractive prices, this is due to them not having to pay taxes when exporting and not having to pay local duties and taxes here, you however can get unexpectedly end up paying them. However there should be a few things you as the customer should know before you buy.
-Buying from an overseas supplier you aren’t protected by New Zealand Consumer Law- ie the Consumer Guarantees Act so if something goes wrong recourse might be difficult
-International freight is expensive, if the part is wrong or faulty sending it back can end up costing too much and making it a sour trade. If you need to return the part and have paid local GST you aren’t able to claim it back.
-If your purchase comes to more than $400 NZD including shipping your item will be stopped and charged GST and a transaction charge usually around $40-50. If you purchase is over $1000 then you will need to apply for an Importer code and have a formal custom clearance done on your behalf costing around $80 + Transactions fee $40-$50 + 15% GST payable + any duty payable See http://www.customs.govt.nz/news/updates/Pages/Online-shopping-08082012.aspx
