Returns And Warranty
Returns
We aren’t in the business of selling faulty or damaged items, but we know it can happen. We even understand that sometimes you just change your mind about something after it’s been bought and paid for.
If you’re having second thoughts about a purchase, you can take advantage of our two-week returns policy. Returns must be in their original packaging and unused (adhesive backing or covers must not be peeled off), and you will need to pay for return shipping. Send it back within a fortnight and we’ll refund the purchase price.
Warranty Details
Our warranty policy is among the best in the game. We offer a 12-month warranty on almost all parts and accessories (unless auction states otherwise). Screen protectors are excluded from warranty due to the nature of how they are designed to be used, but we will replace them if they are broken upon arrival.
The big question from DIY enthusiasts is always “do your warranties include parts that I install myself?” Yes, they do, as long as you have not damaged them during the install! We want to encourage and equip people to do their own repairs.
Our 12-month warranties do not apply where damage is caused by the installer (other than iGadget technicians), or other factors, including without limitation:
-
normal wear and tear;
-
incorrect installation or damage through mishandling;
-
damage through contact with liquids;
-
excessive wear and tear due to mishandling or failure to follow operating instructions;
-
battery leakage or infiltration of foreign particles;
-
batteries that have been pierced, bent or damaged in any way from installation or other means;
-
use of the product with unsuitable accessories; and
-
shipment or other transit. iGadget will not be responsible for damage or loss in transit. Our liability ends once the item has left our premises and tracking details have been provided to the customer. The courier services that iGadget use include a loss in transit and damage insurance, if the product is in their hands, you must claim your warranty through the chosen shipping company.
Warranties also do not apply when Apple iOS or Android Software updates cause hardware faults. It is recommended that you back up your device before any software update in the unlikely event the device has an irrecoverable error to avoid loss of data.
