KTM EXC525 SC 2005

A KTM 525 with 540 big bore, wof'd and road registered.

One seriously fun bike, serious off road machine or a hoons commuter.

Rebuilt at 120 hours with 540 big bore, titanium Akropovic exhaust system. Now at 171 hours.

I've mostly used it on road with Super moto wheels (Sold now), great fun. With current gearing 14 - 39 I can get the front wheel air borne at over 100 k's so plenty of power and still super light. Will do well over 20 k's to the litre on the open road.

Some very tidy, Excel, Takasago super moto wheels available for an extra $1000 though spacers will need to be made to suite the bike. Includes oversized disc, warantable but pretty average tires and the caliper mount to suite the larger disc. I may be able to get some spacers made up but can't promise at the moment.

The dirt tires on the bike are not strictly road legal!

regularly maintained in great condition. Does what it should mechanically and as far as I'm aware will continue to do so for a long time as long as regular oil changes are done.

Only faults I'm aware of are it currently has no side stand as there is a crack in the bracket. The stand still does it's job but when I noticed the crack I took it off as it will eventually break through. Indicators are a bit on and off, not sure what's going on but I'm sure it's not to serious though will need sorting before next wof (Jan 2015 from Memory)

Reserve is FIRM however I'm open to offers close to the buy now.

As an alternative, I also have a very together WR450-F, 2005 which I'd prefer to sell over the KTM but I need at least $5k cash injection and the WR is probably not worth quite as much, still a seriously fun bike though.
