This listing is for an XT90 Plug (XT90-S) with Anti-Spark feature and cap to cover the solder connections. This listing does not include a socket. Look at the picture, that's what you get.

The Plug is typically what you put on your battery (supply), because it does not have exposed pins.

I am deliberately not calling this a male or female, because the definition of that varies depending on your particular hobby!

XT90 are the bigger brothers to the common XT60 2 Pole Connector used in the RC world, especially aircraft, drones, quads and so forth for connecting the primary battery pack to the fun thing.

The Anti-Spark feature, denoted by the Green band, on the plug reduces the chance for an unpleasant and potentially damaging spark when you plug a very high current battery into your thing.

General specifications of XT90 connectors are that they handle up to 90 Amps (peak, 40A continuous according to datasheet ( https://tinyurl.com/2cl8e9le) ) - but when buying components that comes from China, test in a controlled manner if you are pushing the limits.

For those interested types, Anti-Spark works by when you connect the plugs first they connect via a small resistance, and then once fully pushed together they connect directly, the small resistance reduces the inrush current to a level where sparking is less likely.

My XT and MR type connectors are all stamped AMASS, but like everything from China who can really tell as to the authenticity.
