Midget 20 and Trailer

Beautifully designed and crafted Midget 20 sail boat. Built in the Netherlands in 1982.

Since 2000, I have restored this boat to a very practical standard. Both trailer and boat are able to work in harmony for launch and retrieval. The trailer allows maintenance work to be carried out on the hard or home.

Moored at Okahu Bay, Auckland. All aspects of the boat can be demonstrated at a convenient time with the owner.

Trailer fully road legal, electric braking system, registration & warrant current. Just had full engine service, antifouling and a good clean of all painted surfaces.

Performance, (Nanni Diesel 14 Hp) 6.5 knots at 2200 rpm. Sometimes I enjoy motor sailing and a good sailing breeze will give between 5 and 6 Knots. Fuel capacity 35 litres. Being a wide boat (2.4 metres) she is very roomy and can sleep four adults, one berth is 2.3 metres. This is a "walk into and sit down" boat, limited head room (1.35 metres) but more than adequate head height when cooking on the two burner stove or washing up etc. Custom made boom tent extends living area. Simrad tiller auto pilot. Twin battery set up with purpose built control panel & circuit breakers.

She has a sea water flush toilet with holding tank, up to 120 litres of fresh water storage. Inside storage is practical including a stern lazerette. UHF radio and compass, three jib sails and the main sail that is battened for extra performance. Included is an inflatable 2.3 metre flat bottom dingy with oars, a high performance anchor, chain and warp.

A detachable stainless steel swim ladder attaches to the port side when needed.
