Description
Pirate Racer 4.5m x 1.2m. Handcrafted by an experienced boatbuilder - beautifully finished design from the boatbuilding book 'Boats with an Open Mind' by Philip Bolger.
Good moderate weather flat-bottomed boat with no boom & stays. Lots of space & sail can be quickly lifted out of the way - so family friendly. Sealed storage hatches/flotation front & back. Kauri rudder, lead-weighted leeboards tuck under hull (instead of a centreboard) while windward board floats up. Can be rowed with a small bench/ seat. Complete with anchor (but no oars or trailer). Flat-bottomed, so easily fits on any flat deck trailer.
Ply hull and rig in excellent condition & less then 3 years old, though stored outside last year & needing a little varnish refinishing on wooden deck fittings.
