Was purchased for my E30, decided not to install it though. does look good.
They were originally for the the E36 but i expanded them (using heat) to a larger diameter to fit them onto the E30 lights. They could easily be shrunk back down to original size if you wanted to put them on your E36, or any BMW merc toyota honda mazda nissan etc for that matter.
Comes with 4 rings, and as many of the LEDs for them as i can find (8 in total.. probably wont be able to find them all.... but you can get them from DSE for a few cents each) Edit: I have three of them, so this is what it comes with.
