WHICH MODELS?

• The packet says 'all BMW service indicators pre, and post, 1986' and these are often sold as such - DON'T BELIEVE THEM!
• Drapers official specification says ALL 'up to 1998'.
• Between '98 - 2001 BMW slowly phased in a different flat plug - check your car first.

HOW DO I CHECK I HAVE THE RIGHT PLUG?

• Look under your bonnet for the ROUND service plug - it will be up high with black round screw-off cap) and undo the cap - you will see one of two different plugs (A or B) that match to one end of this tool.

A or B PLUG?

• This Draper tool has BOTH.
• 'A' plugs are 15 pin round with a flat side for cars 1982 - '88.
• 'B' plugs are 20 pin round 1987 - 2000*
• *Cars '1987 and '88 are either 'A' or 'B' according to model (some sellers say they changed in '84 which is rubbish).
