This converter has been designed specifically for the mobile communication industry, like AM-CBs, R/T and cell-phones. This is not a switch-mode reducer, so it does not interfere with your AM CB radio.

FEATURES: The input is protected against reverse polarity and the output is protected against 24 volt, A 1500W transient voltage suppresser diode will ensure that the output voltage can not damage the connected equipment. Output current is limited by an electronic current sensor, which limits the current to 15 Amp. In case of an over-current or a short circuit, the current is reduced to 1 Amp until the load or short circuit has been removed. The converter has an over-temperature cut-out of 150 degree Celsius and starts to work again when cooled. Connections are made trough standard automotive spade 6.3 connectors.
