DATSUN 521 LHD 1968
Description
Up for sale is my 1968 Datsun 521 truck. It has been modified and set up for adjustable air suspension, and to lay body on 18" wheels.
This vehicle was origially owned by the U.S Government, then imported to NZ, of course, making it a Left Hand Drive. I purchased this truck in original condition a couple of years ago from a funeral director in Christchurch, and has since then been modified to what it is today.
I am very sad to see this go, as I have spent countless amounts of time, hard work and money on it. Unfortunately, I have come to a point now where I just dont have the funds to finish it.
Modifications done, and parts included: 2 1/2" body drop Full rust repair and treatment New 4 link Mini tubs in front cab and rear tray Brand new, in the box, gas shocks Rear airbag mounts C-notch New windows rubbers front and rear Extended tray sills Humped hood Polished rocker cover Boss kit and drift style steering wheel 18"x8" alloy wheels Brand new 18" Kuhmo tyres (never used on road) Cab and tray both undersealed inside and out New tail lights (in box)
Need to finish: Steering universals need to be installed to accomodate for body drop Pedal box to be installed Extend handbrake cable Electrical wiring Fuel cell needed to be welded 2x 3 Gallon air tanks 2x RE5 Airbags 2x Viar compressors 400c 1x new air strut for the front Exaust system from hedders back Valves/plumbing etc Certification (MS Certifiers have been involved)
This would suit someone that is into minitrucks or hot rods and that has the time and the funds avaliable to finish it. Please give me a call if you have any questions, as I may not have covered everthing off.
Keen for swaps, looking for: Rotary V8 Bobber boat ect
I have all paperwork, including Left Hand Drive excemption. Rego is on hold. Last WOF was 2 years ago (was purchased with current WOF and Rego). Motor is an upgrade from a 1600cc to a 2L ohc Nissan. 5 Speed manual.
