Subaru Legacy RS 1996

This one NZ owner car has been owned by my wife since 10,000 kms when it was imported from Japan. 95% of its time has been spent motorway running between Porirua and Wellington.

Its a 1996, twin turbo, unmolested and serviced religiously by Subaru specialists in Wellington. All registered and warranted .. never any drama to get a WOF.

Inside it has Recaro seats , Momo steering wheel and a very tidy interior. As well, a Blaupunkt 10CD stacker and upgraded front speakers, and naturally an alarm with remote.

The tyres are expensive uni-directional tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1s) and the body kit is uniquely made by Zecter. (These RS Legacys sold new in NZ for $96,000) Excellent Condition - No accidents other than some curb damage to the front spoiler which has been repaired.

Recently its had the airconditioning overhauled and regassed, and the secondary wastegate fixed (I suspect it seized from lack of use !) The only thing wrong is an intermittent fault with the temperature gauge which sometimes reads too high, its caused by something behind the dash (a bang on the dash sorts it out!). Other than that, there are no know problems with it.

Boy Racer ? Not my wife ! While it looks like a boy-racer, my wife, even though she admits she is a poor driver, just loves the car. It goes when you tell it to, and stops just as quickly and because its 4wd, goes around corners no drama.

Its been her car all these years, (Im only allowed to drive it to put petrol in it) and she wouldnt sell it for anything else, except for another newer one of course, which weve just purchased, so its now sadly for sale
