Honda XR650L 2005

Road legal with electric start! I imported this bike brand new in 2005 from Australia. I purchased it for a trip across Australia with two mates. So in 2006 rode across Australia for three months.

This bike has a huge life left in it. Everything on the bike is still in great condition. It has always been regularly serviced.

I have spent thousands of dollars preparing it for off-road adventure touring. All the original gear that was taken off the bike for our trip is included with sale. Including the original fuel tank, which is in pristine condition. One of the photos shows the bike before the mods two years ago.

Features of the bike include:

• Extra large 24 litre fuel tank, imported new and cost $600.
• Comprehensive luggage rack system. This system caters for two pannier bags and a top bag and cost in excess of $500.
• Luggage. I will also include my two pannier luggage bags, made from heavy duty canvas. One has a small hole but they are in good condition.
• Top Bag. This is still in great condition and was also purchased new for about $200.
• Tank Bag. Superb condition.
• Custom made Bash Tank / Water Tank. You will notice in the photos a tank underneath the engine. This is a unique custom-designed bash tank and water tank combined. It holds about 6 litres of drinking water and has a flexible hose for pouring. Inside the tank it is filled with a steel baffle structure which makes the tank incredibly strong.
• After-market Renthal Extra High Handle Bars. The original bars are also included.
• The carburettor has aftermarket jet kit installed.

Lots of other odds and ends are included such as the official workshop manual, tool kits, fire extinguisher and more!

Whether you have an epic adventure planned or just weekend adventure touring, this bike is for you! You will not find a more equipped dual-sport in NZ than this one! I was capable of riding across 650kms of desert sand dunes completely self sufficient with this setup, and you will be too!
