Honda Whatyamacallit! 1972
Description
This used to be a Yamaha R1 copy, 49cc minibike, that was used as a partsbike for another project. I decided that it would make an excellent monster for the '08 Gisborne Christmas Parade. So I dropped in an early ('72?) 400cc 4 cyl. Honda engine. What a crazy machine! Does great wheelies! It must have been the noisiest thing there! The gearing is very low, so top speed is only about 50-60kmh. But you get there very fast!! ( That's fast enough, as the brakes don't work!) The bike has been sitting in the shed ever since, till I fired it up a couple of weeks ago. The battery seems to be shot, and the carbies could do with a clean I think. The whole Honda wiring loom is tucked under there. This could be an excellent project for someone That wants a very unique bike or even if you need a pretty good engine for your classic Honda. This could be the ultimate cruiser at the next Bike-meeting! Hell! You could enter it in the Bike show! Lol!! If there's anything I've missed, or if you have any curly Questions, I'll do my best to answer them in a civilised and well behaved manner. Happy bidding, Lawrence.
