Vespa 50 ss special 1983

This is a Taiwanese market vespa 50 ss or special which was made from 1969 to 1983. This one was made for the japanese market and has been imported from Japan. It is quite similair to a PK50s and is mechanically very similair to normal 50s apart from having key ignition and electronic ignition, so spares should be easy!! It has 975km on clock but this is probably since resto a few years ago. It is 4 speed manual kickstart , this model has et3 style 120km/h speedo and headstock. This is a great looking vespa! loads of extras and accessories, even has flashing brake light!! It has a good engine but could use a carb set up - running a bit down on power at the moment - goes better with choke out so probably has a dirty jet. The lights and indicators are not working apart from taillight and brake light so there is probably a broken wire somewhere. No great dramas there and should be pretty easy to sort out! It has some bog in the floorboard that is cracking in places, doesnt look like there is any more anywhere else. It has some light dings on engine cover. Overall a very cute, rare and stylish vespa with no serious issues - and a crazy $1 reserve!!
