Yamaha FZR 250R 3LN 1990

Great bike! In complete and working order. Registered until the end of July 2010. WOF expired at the end of April 2010. The bike will need a new front tire and an aluminum weld on the exhaust to pass the WOF. The shop that did my WOF said it would be ~$200 to fix and get warranted. It has been a great learning bike. No dramas with it and it's very dependable . I have driven it through all sorts of weather and driving conditions and have felt safe every time. I can usually go about 200k's on a tank of fuel - It costs roughly $20 to fill up. Oil was changed last month with Motul and the chain has been well maintained as well.

If you are unfamiliar with the FZR 250, it is an inline four cylinder engine that is water cooled. It revs to ~20,000 rpms and has power throughout it's rpm range due to its Exup system which opens and closes the exhaust slightly in order to generate more torque and horsepower at different rpms. The bike has a Deltabox frame which eliminates frame flex through the corners. Due to the bike's light weight, it is easy to counter-steer into a corner and this makes it a fun and agile bike to ride. I am going to miss this bike!
