M416 military off-road 4wd expedition trailer
Description
This is a 1954 Dutch-made Polynorm clone of the WW2 Willys MBT trailer.
They are used by serious adventurers the world round, an example below: http://www.myfjcruiser.org/553/m416-trailer-off-road-build/
This particular trailer was restored, painted and upgraded for use in a trans-Saharan expedition and is in top mechanical and electrical condition.
This trailer is amphibious [can float] or submersible [will sink and stay on the bottom during deep wading, due to two bungs [in great condition] in the tray.
It can be fitted with a seagull outboard motor [or similar small prop unit] and successfully navigated over slow moving rivers on its own, or paddled into lakes for fishing quietly. It can also be backed into a waterway with the bungs open to fill up with water, then the bungs can be closed, the trailer brought out of the water and the tray heated by a gas element [not included] to create a hot bath for dusty travellers [don't forget the wood beams to sit on, or you'll be unable to sit for a while].
This is a rare trailer and will need a pintle to tow, as ball socket towing is not able to handle extreme offroad conditions.
For an idea, watch this youtube video of the jeep being tested for WW2 use. The Willys MBT trailer's capability is shown at 0:04 as it careers in tow over a berm at speed, and it's carrying capability at 2:21.
This Polynorm for sale is an exact copy and was used by the Dutch army when their original WW2 trailers wore out. Those on Facebook can see the trailer being used for carting steel parts through swampland before its desert paint job here:

You will not get a better adventurer's accessory - bloody handy for whitebait nets in hairy terrain.
