BMW M535I 1986

This is a wonderful vehicle that we purchased in 1990 and have loved and looked after ever since. It is 1986 NZ new and totally original with all factory optional extras available at the time. The car has been garaged it's entire life with us and prior to our ownership.It has red leather upholstery which is still perfect as is the rest of the car and if you are wondering about the low mileage that is because we used this car for about 2 or 3 years as our sole vehicle and then bought a 4wd wagon to take up the mt. skiing. We discovered that our life was far better suited to using a wagon instead of the car and so the car stayed in the garage. This vehicle has scarcely been used. One year we thought we might start using it again as a 2nd vehicle so put a "top of the line" hideaway Kenwood CD player in it - which we used about twice and back it went in the garage again. We put the registration on hold many years ago, but as we live out in the country, we are able to take the car out every so often for a run around to make sure the tyres aren't getting flat spots. Our plan was to keep it and when we get a chance take it on a Targa rally, but we have decided to sell it and let someone else do that - if they want to. Many times our sons have suggested that we lower it and put mags on etc etc but we have maintained that this is a totally original car and to change anything would be to take it's value and uniqueness away. As we understand there were only 5 of these vehicles bought into the country in 1986 and therefore they are quite special. It was the fastest standard production car made in it's day - someone out there may know better but I think it can do 0 - 100k in 6 secs or something like that - pretty quick in 1986 and no turbo to help. As you can see the car is pretty much perfect and I hope that whoever buys it actually uses it instead of just putting it away as we did.!
