1980 Chrysler Avenger Race Car

Up for sale is my 1980 Chrysler Avenger Race Car.

I have owned this Avenger for over 13 years and I have finally decided to sell it to make room in my garage for my other Hillman Avenger project.

I brought this Avenger back in the 90's as my first car then turned it in to a race car in the early 2000's. I raced the Avenger from approx 2001-2006 in many Auckland Car Club and Thames Valley Car Club events such as Hillclimbs, Bent Sprints, Rally Sprint and curcuit racing at Pukekohe and Taupo.

Comes with MSNZ logbook.

Just before I retired from racing the Avenger got a new respray, since then it has spent the first 2 years under a cover in a car port, and the last 4 years in my garage.

Rust looks okay, she is a race car, not a show car so she is a bit rough in places. Some bubble ups in the sills etc (see pictures)

The Avenger would make a perfect drift or skid car. Avengers are light RWD cars, only weighing ~850kg stock. They also have a very roomy engine bay making engine swaps very easy. On the Avenger forum we have members who are using SR20DE, 4AGE, Rover V8's and even a MoPar 318 V8.
