1981 Nissan Skyline GT-EX Turbo
Claim to fame - Japan's first production car factory fitted with a turbo charger.
I would consider this to be a rare car in New Zealand, I've owned it for around 12 years and have never seen another skyline of this model like it on the road.
It has a fair bit of rust (as per pics) but is still repairable.
It currently has a blown head gasket. However the engine is modified with a later HR31 RB20det turbo charger and a water to air inter-cooler. It has a "MIG" locked differential and a 5 speed dog leg close ratio gearbox with a ceramic button clutch. The front struts and brakes are from a S12 turbo silvia.
The interior is in fairly good condition, except for the perished seats and cracked dash top
It is currently stripped for rust repairs (as per pics) and is 99% complete
