1975 Hino BT51
Description
ONLY AT THIS PRICE THIS WEEK
1975 Hino BT51 bus
was a 42 seater but now has 3 double seats and the driver. is about 11m long
has a boot at the back that is big enough i had 2 125cc pit bikes in it for a while.
seats have been mostly removed and a bedroom added at the back but mostly a blank canvas for your motorhome or housebus conversion.
comes with carpet and curtains, custom rimu slat bed base, mattress and the built in cabinets in the bedroom but not bedding or other stuff inside at the moment altho i will throw in a small 240v fridge and some more carpet with it.
has 3 large "pop top" vent in the roof as most buses of this era do
240v power is by a caravan plug on the outside and an rcd and circuit breakers going to a double socket inside. will need finishing off but I've been using it as is for the last 2 years.
engine and running gear is in great condition and always starts first pop without needing glow plugs.I also have the maintenance history including from when it was a newmans coach in wellington (hence the ncs17 personalized plate).
while ive been staying in it ive regularly ran it to keep the batteries charged and made sure the brakes are still free and working properly.
still has a few diesel miles on it and is actually very economical. cost $100 from Orewa - Huntly - Orewa and some running around a couple of years back.
had clutch and batteries replaced just before i purchased it.
needs a couple of bulbs and the front drivers side mudguard liner secured for a COF but shouldn't need too much else other than a good run.
also has a dvd/tv/mp3 headunit that can take an input from a reverseing camera
only selling as the money is needed for the transition from the bus to a real house... so priorities have changed. if you buy it this week you'll get a bargain but if i relist it the price will be closer to what they are worth.
rego is on hold
any questions welcome
bus is as described, but as is
pickup is about 10min southwest of Hamilton
